Mr. DiDonato has over 35 years of experience in the architectural/engineering consulting industry. Mr. DiDonato is a founding Principal and President of ATI and serves as Project Manager on larger multi-discipline projects. He has led the development of ATI’s K-12 business. In addition to ATI’s primary A/E business, Mr. DiDonato is eminently qualified in the areas of large industrial facilities design and operation as well as an expert in management.
Managing Principal, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Schweickert provides managerial expertise and oversight of the work flow processes that assure all financial, quality, and efficiency goals are met in every aspect of the company operations. Mr. Schweickert plays a key role in the decision-making process and goal setting activities. In this capacity, he provides support with strategy and implementation to ensure that the vision of the company is upheld.
Mr. Schweickert earned a BA in Mathematics from UC San Diego, and has a MBA and MS in Engineering Management from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
Mr. Bello has over 30 years of experience in architecture and for the past 19 years has been ATI’s primary K-12 Practice Leader. Mr. Bello was the Project Principal for the development of ATI’s Emily product line – a DSA approved series of prototypical designs that are adaptable by Districts, bid and built by General Contractors. Currently there are over 1000 classroom/classroom wings in design/construction at various School Districts throughout California. In addition to being an expert in K-12 educational design, Mr. Bello has extensive experience with office, medical, food service, hotels, naval rehabilitation, custom and production housing projects.
Ms. Lesnefska has 18 years of experience in Civic, Educational, Public and Commercial projects. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Master’s Degree in Architecture with a specialization in Design and Energy Conservation from the University of Arizona. Her Master’s thesis, Sustainable Architecture as Environmental Education (SAEE): Developing an Integrative K-12 Curriculum, focused on K-12 schools with an emphasis on sustainable design as an opportunity for environmental education.
Managing Principal
Mr. Gillings has over 35 years of experience in architecture, including 25 years as the owner of his own architectural firm prior to joining ATI. Mr. Gillings’ experience throughout Southern California has been focused on industrial projects, with a strong history in: cold storage, food processing and bottling facilities. His work also includes: administrative offices, maintenance, logistics/warehousing/distribution and transportation facilities, and manufacturing.
Mr. Goldsworthy brings over 45 years of experience to the design of a wide range of solutions to contemporary environmental design problems. He has worked as designer, project architect, project field representative, and/or project manager on a great number of industrial, hospitality, retail, and other commercial projects, religious, residential, urban, and civic projects with in-place construction costs of over $900 million.

Ms. Win is a licensed architect with over 20 years of design, construction and project management experience in office interiors, mixed-use commercial / retail, higher education, and institutional projects. She has excellent organization and communication skills in building team rapport on her projects. She creates environments that are responsive to clients’ aesthetics, functional, operational, and financial goals.
Mr. Caires has over 25 years of project management and research related experience encompassing both the public and private market sectors. At present he is the supervising Principal-in-Charge for blanket contracts with the Oak Grove, Pittsburg and Palo Alto School Districts as well as projects for the United States Postal Service.
Senior Associate, Principal Architect
Ms. Hamilton is a licensed architect with over 30 years of design, construction and project management. She has spent much of her career bringing new life to older residential and commercial buildings and designing new buildings to fit into established urban neighborhoods. Ms. Hamilton is experienced at designing in most of the styles, historic and contemporary, that are found in the Bay Area. Beyond extensive design and construction experience, she has a solid grounding in structural engineering and urban planning. She takes great pride in her ability to craft innovative solutions to complex problems and to work with clients, consultants, city agencies, all building trades, as well as members of the community at large.

Ms. Tyler has over 25 years of architectural experience in planning, design and development of landmark projects for some of the top companies in North America.
Principal Architect
Mr. Rup Chand has 20 years of experience as Architect, Designer and Project Manager on a multitude of projects of varied scope, size and complexity. He has a solid technical background and has been involved in project management, design and construction documents. Mr. Chand is a licensed Architect in the State of California.
Mr. Riegel is a Licensed Structural Engineer and Architect with 35 years of experience. Mr. Riegel has extensive experience with airport-related projects and seismic retrofitting. His capabilities include interdisciplinary coordination checking, energy conservation, and construction phasing.
Senior Associate, Principal Architect
Mr. Pan is a well-respected and experienced Senior Project Manager. His exceptional skills include all aspects of proven architecture design, engineering, and construction. As the Senior Project Manager, he is responsible for all project coordination as well as client management. Mr. Pan has extensive experience in mixed-use, multi-family, commercial, industrial, government and military projects. Additionally, Mr. Pan has served as the Architect of Record for numerous noteworthy K12 and community college projects during his professional career. Mr. Pan takes pride in providing quality service to his clients with innovative designs while ensuring a strict adherence to budget and schedule.
Principal Architect
Mr. Hamdy has over 30 years of architecture expertise. His expertise includes an extensive list of school projects as well as healthcare and medical facilities. His recent accomplishments include new campus designs for a K-8 elementary school and a new career tech high school for the San Bernardino City Unified School District. Both campuses are Hardship Funded Project that would have lost funding were it not for the speed in which the designs were taken through DSA. Mr. Hamdy specializes in the holistic approach to campus design, constructability review, and systems coordination.
Mr. Lau has over 25 years of experience in design, construction, planning, project management, and utility business asset management. His excellent analytical skills allow him to identify critical items and problems in early stages of a project, while staying on budget and schedule.
Senior Associate, Project Manager
While at ATI, Kate has been involved in the design and construction document production for a diverse range of industries, including government, cold storage, industrial and entertainment projects. Kate is responsible for project design, site planning, construction documents, specifications, and construction administration.
Mechanical & Utilities Infrastructure Project Manager
Mr. Zumwalt has over 30 years of experience developing facility retrofit projects throughout California. Clients include UCSF, John Muir Medical Center, Washington Hospital, Tenet Hospitals (San Ramon Regional, Redding Medical, and JFK Memorial) Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Stanford Medical Center, Kaiser Redwood City, and Catholic Healthcare West Facilities. Mr. Zumwalt’s Prime Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Consulting experience involves developing the scope of work, phasing requirements and technically complex engineering solutions for Infrastructure upgrade projects mostly in the built environment. In the 1980’s Mr. Zumwalt was a statewide prime design-build contractor responsible for turnkey solutions that included OSHPD permitting. He has extensive background in upgrading critical 24/7 air handling units to meet Table 4A system requirement with minimal shutdown periods.
Project Manager
Dale has over 30 years of experience in the architecture industry and is a Licensed Architect. He is an expert in transforming schematic design drawings into high quality Construction Documents. He will work closely with our clients to define project scopes and create designs that exceed client expectations.
Mr. Hallenbeck is a licensed Architect in California and Arizona with over 20 years of experience, specializing in New & Existing Construction of various project types including: Industrial, Food Processing, Manufacturing and Restaurant Projects. His Project Management experience includes all phases of architecture, including design development, construction documents, project management, and construction administration.
May has over 15 years of professional experience on a broad range of architectural building types, and in all phases of project delivery. Recent project experience has been in educational projects, where she has successfully spearheaded and integrated CHPS criteria into multiple school sites. In her role as the Project Architect, May will work with Rachel to ensure that all of the County’s projects are cared for with utmost quality.
Project Executive/Architect
Rick has over 43 years of experience in the field of architecture. He has extensive experience in entertainment facilities, and nationwide and worldwide experience in education, hospitality, food service, government, health care, entertainment, industrial and retail marketplaces.
As a Marketing Manager, Ms. Hesse’s primary function is to ensure that all marketing and business development activities upholds to ATI’s strategic vision. Her responsibilities include developing and executing all marketing campaign, as well as producing Statement of Qualifications, Brochures, and Presentations. In her tenure with ATI, she has expanded a library of marketing collateral for various market sectors, as well as directed the re-design of ATI’s website and the creation of EmilyTM’s new website, EmilyReuseDesign.com.
Ms. Hemstalk has grown her career at ATI in the accounting department since 2006. She has been leading the department and providing human resources supervision for the last 3 years. Her primary responsibilities include the overall supervision of the accounting department and supporting the management team with various financial reporting functions. Ms. Hemstalk’s additional responsibilities include managing all functions related to accounts receivable and payable, contract review, financial reporting, and human resource supervision. Ms. Hemstalk is intricately involved in the analysis and improvement of internal accounting processes, and has implemented several paperless procedures to reduce ATI’s impact on the environment.
