Apffels Gourmet Coffee is a family-run business that has been operating since 1914. The firm is now in its fourth generation of providing specialty coffee to retailers and restaurants.

In 2003 Apffels decided to move from 3 locations in the central Los Angeles area to a family-owned parcel in Santa Fe Springs.  The facility, uniquely situated on the site, provides a linear layout based on product flow.  The facility has shipping/receiving, flavoring, blending, grinding, roasting, packaging, and corporate offices. 

The building incorporates an Art Deco design applied to a conventional concrete tilt-up exterior wall construction that provides an attractive and cost-effective solution to the family’s desire to maintain both high standards of product and image.
