San Ramon, CA – June 10, 2017
ATI employees gathered at the California High School Track in San Ramon for the second year in a row, where the Annual Cancer Society’s Relay for Life was held. ATI employees walked around the track for five hours and stayed late into the night, clad in purple and white t-shirts, to help raise money for the fight against cancer.
A huge thank you goes to ATI’s team leaders Donna Foster, Casey Morris, and Jennifer Pagach for coordinating and investing so much time and energy into this event and cause. Through donations, an office bake sale, a fundraiser at Page Mill Winery in Livermore, a spare change collection, and ATI’s $2,500 contribution, team ATI raised well over $8,000. This put our team in first place for this Relay for Life Fundraiser, moving up two places from last year’s event.
The final total raised between all teams is $17,712.50.
One of the team leaders, Casey Morris, reflected on the event, “It was a positive experience for those who came out, we were able to really make it about celebrating the survivors in attendance and remembering those we’ve lost along the way in a supportive environment.”
Cancer has touched all of us in some way and we want to stop this disease in its tracks. Through this event we honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others. Together, we’ll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
