More New Faces at ATI Architects and Engineers Danville Office!

Casey

ATI is pleased to welcome Casey Morris – our newest Junior Designer and member of our Architecture team.

Q: What makes you excited about working at ATI?
A: “I have been with ATI a week shy of two months now, the thing that has impressed me the most is the professionalism of the office. Over the years, I have been at 100 employee offices, also offices with a half a dozen people, with everything in between. This place has its act together and is a well-oiled machine, I feel able to thrive under the standards and operating procedures that are the foundation of this company.”

Q: Favorite project you are working on and why it excites you.
A: “I have been given the renovation of buildings D and E (library and multi-use room) project at Willow Cove Elementary School for Pittsburg USD to advance as best as possible on my own and given the as-built hardcopies to reference. I found a couple of problems which conflicted with the design and the solutions I offered were taken into legitimate consideration. Rup Chand has been kind in his words about my production of work on the project.”

Q: What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
A: “I drew a lot when I was younger, it is hard to find the time to do that anymore, but that has definitely been a passion of mine. Art holds a high place in my heart. I love going to the museums to see exhibits. I have been fortunate enough to experience some of the greatest artists: M.C. Escher, Dali, Van Gogh, Monet, Warhol, etc. Though I don’t have much time for movies, I still like reading about TV and movies in production. I am extremely ecstatic about Stars Wars this Christmas. I am a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, I think they have done an outstanding job producing quality movies of characters in the comic books I read and owned as I child. I really cannot wait to see the movie Captain America: Civil War when it releases next year. It is going to be epic! I also read a lot; I was turned onto Stephen King books in middle school and read most of his collection. Currently, I am on book 4 of the Agent Pendergast novels to which my wife introduced me. Very exciting and compelling stories.”

Aaron

Aaron Epperson joins ATI’s Architecture Department as a Job Captain.

Q: What makes you excited about working at ATI?
A: “After working in a small firm for many years, it is great to now have the support of an entire team of Architects and Engineers.“

Q: Favorite project you are working on and why it excites you.
A: “The Ocean Park project on Sloat Ave. in San Francisco has been an exciting experience. It is always great to sink your teeth into a large project of this scope. The intersection of different occupancies, construction types and materials has created opportunities for unique design solutions. I am excited for construction to begin so we can see it all come together.”

Q: What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
A: “Outside of work, I am an artist and dream guide. I volunteer a lot of my free time teaching designers how to generate ideas through active dreaming, and the necessary skills to communicate those ideas visually.“

Rod

ATI is pleased to welcome Rod Sepulveda to our Architecture team as a Job Captain.

Q: What makes you excited about working at ATI?
A: “Working in an environment where Architects and Engineers are working together in the same office, and experiencing the continuous coordination and feedback from everyone involved in the project. It is such a rewarding experience!”

Q: Favorite project you are working on and why it excites you.
A: “In general I like to work on school projects because you get to experience the design to construction phase very quickly, and also have direct communication with all trades (from the School District as the client to all consultants, general contractor and their subs). But I should also say it was very interesting working for a short time on our 2800 Sloat Boulevard Multi-family Mixed-Used Project in San Francisco with very interesting designs. Hopefully I get to work on the next one.”

Q: What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
A: “Since Northern California has amazing weather, I look forward to the long weekends to go camping and hiking. During the winter (if snow is ever around, lol) I like to snowboard. And I can’t forget to mention landscape and urban photography, I love taking my camera anywhere I can.”
